Learning words at a young age while the brain is still developing is a natural and exciting process for young minds. As your child increases their language skills, they improve their ability to express themselves verbally and they learn about the world around them.
For a few moments I want us to stop the debating about who is right or wrong because both sides have very compelling arguments. Let’s instead think about the safety of guns in our homes – and I will go even further: let’s protect our children from seen and unseen dangers.
What is the meaning of Christmas? For many children, Christmas means Santa Claus visiting on Christmas Eve. For some, Christmas is still a religious event, a sacred occasion to celebrate the birth of Christ. I believe Christmas is joy – a religious joy, an inner joy of light and peace.
Giving thanks is more than just holidays like Thanksgiving with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie. Traditions of giving thanks are different for each family. As you continue to develop exactly what your traditions are, think about what values and traditions do you want to pass on to your children and your children’s children.
